Tenericutes

Tenericutes – Gram Positive

Tenericutes is a phylum bacteria that contain the class Mollicutes. Tenericutes come from the definition of tener cutis which have mean “soft skin”, the name was vilidated in 1984 as a new division same as phylum.

If a phylum bacteria is a new division of bacteria some of the member include on this bacteria also include in fermicutes bacteria. Phylum bacteria are divided into different phylia in order to separate the trillions of species that exist. These microscopic organism are prokaryotic which means they have no nucleus and typically no bound internal structure, and they are everywhere. Fermiculate usually use as growing media for mushroom in science experiments.

Include on the phylum bacteria such as Aquificae, some of Fermicutes and also Protobacteria. Phylum Aquificae include only 27 species of bacteria. They range from thermophilic to hyperthermophilic, which means they live in highly heat temperature. Aquificae bacteria make their own food using chemosynthesis, a process by which they break down various chemicals within their cells in a similar way with plants use sunlight to make their food.

Fermicutes – Gram Positive

The group of Fermicute typically divided into Clostridia, which are anaerobic, the Bacilli, or facultative aerobes and the Mollicutes. Fermicutes make up the largest portion of the mouse and human gut microbiome. Fermicute as part of gut flore shown to be involve in energy resorption and obesity.

Fermicutes are phylum bacteria which have gram positive cell wall structure. A few bacteria have a porous pseudo outer membrane that cause them strain to gram negative, for example like Megasphaera, Pectinatus, Selenomonas and Zymophilus.

Some of fermicutes are resistant to desiccation and can survive on extreme condition, this because this kind fermicutes can produce endospores. Some of these bacteria also pathogen and can found in various environments. Fermicute have play an important role on producing beer, wine and cider spoilage.

Actinobacteria

Actinobacteria – Gram Positive

As a gram positive bacteria, actinobacteria has high content of guanine and cytosine. This bacteria can life in terrestrial or aquatic media. Actinobacteria much found in soil life, fresh water life and marine life, the role of this bacteria in decomposing organic materials, such as cellulose and chitin, and this are playing a vital part in organic matter and turnover of carbon cycle.

Bacteria which are include in actinobacteria such as Mycobacterium, Corynebacterium, Nocardia, Rhodococcus and a few species of Streptomyces and include some of pathogen bacteria. The main function of this bacteria mostly are replenished the supply of humus formation in soil.

Another very valuable function of Actinobacteria are well known as secondary metabolite producers and in high pharmacological and commercial interest. Selman Waksman discover actinomysin in soil bacteria and get a Nobel Prize of his finding, and other naturally antibiotics has been discovered in this terrestrial microorganisms, especially from genus Streptomyces.
